Utpal Goswami, Sheila Hall, Anita Janis and Geisce Ly via phone, Crislyn Parker-notes
1. Enrollment Management Plan
 The Enrollment Management Committee agreed to revise and reformat the plan. Keith is working
on the narrative (pgs. 1-8), and a different format for developing the activity sections.
 Designated staff is to look at the goals and strategies, coordinate with DN and MC to consider
activities and in what areas of the plan they should be included, keeping in mind how they link to
the Strategic, Educational and Annual plans. The completed draft will go to the Enrollment
Management committee in September.
2. Planning website Overview
 The planning website now has the addition of a Planning Indicator Database, on the left-side menu,
which can be sorted by plan, objective or key word, has links to historical data, and under the
“definition” column, shows the data source. A work in progress, Angelina encourages feedback for
improvement and requests the enrollment plan be very specific as to what CR will be tracking.
3. 2013-14 Program Review
 Cheryl sent the student services template with few changes. All program reviews will be due to
PRC October 31; to SS to Keith by 10/15 for review.
4. 2012-13 Assessment and Two-year Assessment Planning
 2013 assessment reports are being finalized. Cheryl rolled over the current two-year plan for the
next year and sent to student services staff for suggested changes to outcomes.
 Per Angelina, “closing the loop” is the process of reviewing and analyzing ongoing actions and
reporting on results, or when an action has been completed and analyzed. Analyzing and reporting
out why a decision was made that an objective is not realistic also closes the loop. IR will
automatically roll over outcomes annually (September 5), including new outcomes approved
through curriculum, and all goes live at that time.
5. New Instructional Organization Model draft
 The draft dean model has been sanctioned and HR will send letters and emails to faculty and staff
for an opportunity to apply for the associate dean positions. Fall will be a transition period. If the
positions are not filled internally, CR will advertise externally. Further collaboration is needed to
finalize the AOA position duties.
6. Other
 MaryGrace commented on college preparation through Massive Open Online Course (M.O.O.C.),
which is an online program aimed at large-scale interactive participation and open access via the
web and possibly offering refresher courses prior to testing through community ed. Julia and Sheila
are discussing offering a certificate for college prep thru community education.
 Angelina: meeting with IT next week to begin a new Open CCC Apply. CR is also setting up mass
mailing capability through the Cloud, called “Mail Chimp.” Training will be available, starting with
the staff summit. Discussed the need for some control so students are not inundated with emails.
 Cheryl: Matt McCann, new associate faculty counselor, 50% EOPS and 50%Athletics, begins
training next week. At a recent conference, the chancellor’s office expressed optimism for
improved categorical funding for EOPs, CalWorks, and DSPS.
