Dear Curriculum Committee:
After consulting with discipline colleagues district wide, the Speech Department would like to
inactivate the following courses in our curriculum inventory:
Speech 399 – ESL: Selected Topics in Speech –
Again, this course has not been offered in the last 15+ years, nor does the department intend to
offer the course in the future. Should a faculty member in the Speech Department choose to offer
a selected topics course that dealt with ESL-related issues in speech that could be done utilizing
the current Speech 99 (Selected Topics in Speech) course designation.
Approval is requested of the Division Chair by a response to this email.
