This course revises and combines the existing courses CIS 55 and GC 12 This revision brings the
courses up to date as far as software and hardware are concerned and brings the course into the
Office Tech area since it really should be an advanced word processing course.

20-30 MMC and Office Tech students.

Presently have:
Need to acquire: (include cost) All new equipment needs will be paid through an approved EBT grant. This
equipment will provide the needed equipment for a class size of 30. As with all equipment, it will need
to be replaced in the future.

Full-time and associate faculty.

1. CATALOG DESCRIPTION:
An introduction to developing camera ready documents which contain both graphics and text.
Students will design documents which combine text and graphics on a printed page using a professional
quality desktop publisher. Graphics will be created using a scanner and professional quality draw and paint
packages.
