An introductory-level course in the use of Quickbooks accounting software. The goal of the course is to enable the student to use Quickbooks in real-life situations. This course is particularly relevant for bookkeepers and small business owners who want to be able to use Quickbooks to automate bookkeeping and accounting tasks. COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES: What should the students be able to do as a result of taking this course? State some of the objectives in terms of specific, measurable student accomplishments. Students will be able to use Quickbooks accounting software to: • Set up the accounting system for a small business • Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks • Control checking and savings accounts • Run a payroll and produce payroll reports • Send out invoices and receive payments • Enter and pay bills (accounts payable) • Configure and track inventory • Manage files COURSE CONTENT: Attach a copy of the course syllabus (including description, policies, and schedule of instruction and assignments).
