1. Called meeting to order
2. Completed Executive Summaries for most of Groups 5 and 6
3. Next Steps (reminder: the 4/8 and 4/15 meetings are cancelled due to
participation in the IEC Summits on those dates, from 10am to noon, in
AT 103/104) o at the 4/22/11 meeting, the committee will complete executive summaries for the seven liberal arts degrees and forestry; also, tech services and marine sciences, if they have been posted
4. Other/Public Comment: o Reviewing the GE Comp for budget and trends subcommittees is not necessary; already included in comprehensive. Assessment would be good for discussion o Technology and Marine Science still need to complete and post a program review o Future Program Review committee discussion should include where grant funded positions fit into program review process o Regarding bookstore and dining services program reviews, there was discussion that in order to better evaluate needs and tie to the strategic plan, and department mission, fiscal detail should be included. These program reviews
Cain has information on the subject of open-source texts o Committee recommends including in the master Executive Summary that the lack of F/T faculty affects assessment; who will be doing work?
5. The meeting was adjourned at noon
6. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 22, 10am in the Boardroom cp does not include such information as markup protocols or how the internal functions matches with mission o There was also some agreement that a district wide discussion on open source textbooks would be beneficial o The committee also agreed that reinstating a textbook cost committee
