Catalog Description
A Certificate of Completion in custodian and basic maintenance skills. Students
will learn cleaning procedures and how to work with commonly-used machines
and equipment. They will also learn how to perform basic and preventative
maintenance safely and responsibly by following all relevant Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) regulations. On completion, students will be fully prepared to complete
the duties required to work as a cleaner, custodian, or basic maintenance
worker.
Program Goals & Objectives
The goal of this program is to prepare students with the skills and training to
work as a custodian or basic maintenance worker. On completion of this
certificate, students will be able to:

1. Safely and responsibly perform the duties of a custodian or basic
maintenance worker in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
