Faculty Authors
Seek district-wide collegial collaboration, feedback, and approval.
Use only the most recent forms, located on the Curriculum Resources page.
Pay attention to the curriculum “ripple effect”: how changes in one course outline
can impact other courses and degrees/certificates.
Do not bring last minute revision printouts to the meeting (a Brown Act violation).
If you are an associate faculty member, invite a departmental representative to
attend the meeting with you who can answer questions from an institutional
perspective.
Reviewers
Carefully review curriculum documents; do not “rubber stamp” your approval.
Be prompt with feedback so faculty have an opportunity to make revisions.
Use Curriculum Forums effectively by reading and posting comments; pay attention
to substantive issues rather than minor technical errors.
