Please do the following as you participate in the curriculum process: Faculty • Seek district-wide collegial collaboration, feedback, and approval. • Use only the most recent outline forms, located in Public Folders/Curriculum/Forms. • Pay attention to the curriculum “ripple” effect: how changes in one course outline can impact other courses and degrees/certificates. • Do not bring last-minute revision printouts to the meeting (a Brown Act violation). • If you are an associate faculty member, invite a departmental representative to attend the meeting with you who can answer questions from an institutional perspective. Reviewers • Carefully review curriculum documents; do not “rubber stamp” your approval. • Be prompt with feedback so faculty have ample opportunity to make revisions. • Use MyCR effectively by reading and posting comments; pay attention to substantive issues rather than minor technical errors. Faculty authors (or designees) must attend the meeting, along with any other department members or the division chair who may wish to discuss their reviews of the proposal.
