Here are some of the key services available • Careers help in the Department of Economics Careers Consultants are assigned to particular departments and in conjunction with the department help to deliver a programme of careers seminars and lectures for all student year groups that are tailored to the subject specialism. You will get a chance to meet alumni from the department and employers who are specifically looking to recruit UCL statistics students. A core element of the programme is the provision of careers skills workshops (examples include; interview skills, job hunting and CV writing). In addition, subject specific careers information is provided, e.g. ‘Job Options with your Subject’, ‘Funding Postgraduate Study’. • ‘Face to Face’ student advice 15 minute ‘short guidance’ interviews in the Careers Office in the ULU building in Malet Street are useful for CV checks, first steps in career planning, further study and training, job-search strategies etc. They are available Monday – Thursday, 10 am – 12.00 pm & 2.00 – 4.30 pm during term time, and outside term time 2.00 – 4.30 pm only.
