Mission:
The mission of the Department of Business Communication and Entrepreneurship is to educate students through a blend of cultural knowledge, economic literacy, communication skills, basic­business roles as
consumers, workers, entrepreneurs, and citizens.
Use of Prior Results : A change was made in assessment to switch to a more comprehensive rubric approved by both the department and the EXL program.
Student Learning Outcome:
Students will display a skill set appropriate
for starting a new venture.
Measure 1:
Seventy percent of students completing
BCEN 4620, Business Plan Development, will
present and defend a satisfactory business
plan as evaluated by the course instructor and
a panel of business executives using a
departmentally approved rubric.
