Amy Hennington was nominated by colleague Jeff Clark who shared in
his letter, “Dr. Hennington not only exhibits a strong desire to integrate
technologies into her teaching, but she also demonstrates a strong desire
to make those technologies clearly useful to her students. She does not
use technology for technology’s sake; rather, she thoughtfully integrates
technology with successful teaching strategies that enable her students to
grow. I am deeply impressed with her commitment to creating a positive
and productive learning environment.”

Barbara Young was nominated by colleague Linda Gilbert who shared
in her letter that Dr. Young “prepares her students for the future – for a
future and for challenges that cannot even be imagined today, but that
certainly will be filled with technology. Barbara works with teachers, and
with future teachers. And if teachers are to be effective in delivering
effective instructional strategies to their students, then they must have
those strategies modeled for them. That is what Barbara does…..
Dr. Barbara N. Young has certainly earned the 2010 Award for
Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Technology. She goes
beyond merely meeting the criteria for the award. She exceeds it.”
