Volunteer Internship in Child Protection Consultancy

If you have an interest in increasing revenue to enhance and develop our conference portfolio to
reach more professionals and to help us to end cruelty to more children, then you are the individual
we would like to hear from.
As a volunteer intern within the Child Protection Consultancy division, you will be doing real work,
making a difference with responsibilities that will support the delivery of our conferences. Our
developing annual conference programme will provide you the opportunity to be involved in a new
and exciting time within Child Protection Consultancy whilst we are engaging with our future
customers and supporters to promote our conference calendar. This opportunity will provide you the
experience to put your business and sales skills and knowledge into practice and promote our
portfolio within a variety of sectors.
This voluntary role will predominantly be supporting the conference remit in promoting each of our
conferences and seminars to our target audience and therefore increase our delegate sales and
sponsorship income. Key tasks will include prospect database development, networking at relevant
conferences to build prospect contacts, telephone campaigns, sponsorship development and
customer insight activities.
We are looking for a volunteer intern with skills and knowledge from all backgrounds that can
confidently develop new customer relationships, which will result in new business. A customer
focused attitude, a strong communicator, and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with
the ability to interact with members of the public irrespective of background, with tact and integrity on
the telephone and face-to-face is key. We are looking for an individual who is cooperative, a team
worker and proactive in reaching sales targets by developing new and existing business relationships
to the highest standard.

Child Protection Consultancy Conferences – will it suit you?
The Child Protection Consultancy division has been developed since the revised strategy was
implemented in 2009. The division is focused on challenging all organisations that work with or on
behalf of children - publicly if necessary - to do everything they can to ensure those children’s safety
and to offer assistance in fulfilling their responsibilities through training, consultancy, conferences,
information, partnership and representation. The new conference team was developed to deliver all
conferences, seminars, product launches and briefings to all professionals within a variety of sectors.
The team has a passion to develop and enhance the portfolio to expand our reach to professionals in
a variety of sectors.
We have a strong desire to work towards ending cruelty to children in the UK and expanding our
conference portfolio will widen our reach to more professionals who need to gain or expand their
knowledge in safeguarding children. With this in mind, we are looking for an individual who will meet
