Minimum IT requirements
General
You will need access to a networked computer in order to both prepare and submit course work and to interact with the
Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which will be used to deliver the eLearning portions of the programme.
We recommend that your computer should be running a modern operating system and have a network connection that is
capable of broadband speeds.
You will also need to be able to read PDF files, view multimedia and have regular access to e-mail
Specific Requirements
Coursework Submission
You will be expected to submit your written coursework electronically. The course team will accept submissions in Adobe
Acrobat PDF format or Microsoft Word (XP or 2007) format. Your computer must be able to produce these files in a
format that the course team are able to read.
Where modules require submission of data in other formats this will be specified in advance.
Access to the VLE
The VLE is web based, so you will need a web browser and an internet connection. Although you will be able to access
the course material at dialup speeds we recommend using broadband.
We recommend that you have one of the following browsers known to work with the VLE installed on your machine:

Your browser should have cookies and javascript enabled (most modern browsers will have these enabled by default).
