Strong, in addition to the duties below. Managed the Ontario Hydro corporate relationship with the Provincial Government during a tumultuous period (arrival of NDP government, departure of three presidents, arrival of new chairman, corporate restructuring, labour negotiations and elimination of one third of the workforce). Developed government relations programs directed at Queen's Park, Ottawa and Washington. Managed the corporate regulatory affairs function for projects including the Demand/Supply Plan (DSP) Hearing; annual Ontario Energy Board rate hearings; and National Energy Board export licence applications.
