For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, August 14, 2008 CETES, CU Business Research Center present Business Forum Cameron University’s Center for Emerging Technologies and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES) and the university’s Business Research Center will present “The Housing Market Crisis and Its Fallout on the Local Economy,” a business forum, on Thursday, August 28 at 11 a.m. in the Wichita Room of the Shepler Center. The forum is open to the public at no cost and provides an opportunity for local citizens to garner feedback on this current issue from experts in the field. Chad Wilkerson, Vice President and Branch Executive, Oklahoma City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas, will present the keynote address. Wilkerson, who holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, serves as the Bank’s regional economist and representative in the state of Oklahoma, working closely with the branch’s board of directors. He is responsible for briefing the Kansas City Fed’s president – a member of the Federal Open Market Committee – on economic and business activity in the state. He also supervises the Bank’s monthly Survey of Manufacturers.
