Enrollment continues to increase at Cameron
Cameron University officials report that enrollment for the Spring 2006 semester has increased slightly from
a year ago.
Information collected on the tenth day of classes – the official census day of the semester – showed the
Spring 2006 enrollment at Cameron was up to 5,402 students. The current enrollment is an increase of 20
students from Spring 2005.
“More and more students are making Cameron their ‘university of choice,’” President Cindy Ross said.
“Each Cameron student is assured a complete collegiate experience and a top-quality education under
caring faculty.”
The increase in Cameron’s enrollment comes despite the loss of military and military dependant students
who have been deployed or reassigned from Fort Sill as apart of the ongoing military effort in Iraq.
“Cameron University and Fort Sill have always been tied closely together,” Ross said. “We are proud of our
military students and we appreciate the sacrifice that they and their families make.”
