For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, April 2, 2004 ‘College Connection’ now heard on KCCU-FM Listeners are encouraged to tune in to a new radio program, "College Connection," to hear the latest news on state and national higher education issues, as well as to hear a variety of guests provide valuable information on preparing for college. The program, produced by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, airs each Sunday on KCCUFM from 5-6 p.m. "The State Regents look forward to the opportunity to provide information on a weekly basis that will help Oklahomans prepare for college both academically and financially," said Chancellor Paul G. Risser. "'College Connection' provides families with another resource for college information while highlighting significant state and local higher education issues and featuring input from educational and policy leaders." Each week listeners can hear interviews with education experts and newsmakers from around the state and nation. "This is a valuable show for both students and parents, since each program features up-to-date news on what the Legislature is doing on higher education issues," said KCCU program director Michael Leal. KCCU has six radio stations throughout western Oklahoma and northern Texas: Lawton-Fort Sill (89.3 & 102.9 FM), Wichita Falls (88.7 FM), Clinton-Weatherford-Elk City (89.1 FM), Ardmore (90.3 FM) and Altus (90.1 FM).
