Fucci, and J. Johnson Meeting Began at 11:36 AM Deans Announcements The Dean welcomed back both Patricia Ard and Yvette Kisor from their sabbaticals. The Dean thanked both the Personnel Committee and the Political Science Search Committee for their participation. The Dean asked faculty members to sign up for CAAFYE and Admissions Events this semester. Those that are still interested in attending COPLAC, and interested in recommending students for COPLAC, should do so by September 21. The Unit was asked to submit Faculty Scholarship for the AIS website and bulletin board. AIS Unit Personnel Committee Reports The following faculty member was recommended for 4th year reappointment: Rebecca Root The following faculty members were recommended for 5th year reappointment: Roark Atkinson Pinar Kayaalp The following faculty members were recommended for tenure: Tae Kwak Natalia Santamaria-LaOrden Mike Unger Announcements: AIS Social Committee funds are needed for this academic year. The deadlines for ARC and cross listing courses are both October 15 th. Volunteers are needed next semester for The AIS Film Series. An AIS Colloquium event will be held on Wednesday September 28th at 6:00 PM in room B-224. Todd Barnes will be presenting. Sam Mustafa updated the Unit about the Faculty Assembly.
