Nausheen Qureshi attended The National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) Annual Conference which took place in Chicago from November 1115 of 2015. Her proposal got accepted to present at the Student Poster Session and she was awarded the inaugural John J. Hanigan Student Scholarship Award. The award serves to honor the memory of John J. Hanigan; and recognizes a student recipient currently active in honors with a demonstrated record of outstanding contributions to the honors community. Project Title: Rising from the Depths of Despair: The Healing Arts of Lady Philosophy in Boethius's The Consolation of Philosophy Project Description: The Consolation of Philosophy (ca. 524) by Anicius Boethius implies the possibility of philosophical and self-healing, as illustrated by the physician-patient relationship established between the main characters. Her study reveals the present-day applications of the medical methods of Lady Philosophy, who proves the significance of physicians’ abilities to connect to their patients on a deeper level by employing more compassionate demeanors through which they can truly heal their patients.
