2014 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT CEREMONY SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCE AND HUMAN SERVICES The 2014 NASW STUDENT SOCIAL WORK SCHOLARSHIP AWARD goes to MICHELLE MOUHTIS. Michelle was the president of the Social Work Club in 2014 and vice president from fall 2013 through spring 2014. She was also an active member of the National Social Work Honor Society, Phi Alpha, as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Alpha Lambda Delta (first year excellence). Michelle was also a Ramapo Admissions Student Ambassador. Michelle studied abroad in Sydney, Australia for seven weeks. While in Sydney, she had an intensive internship at Odyssey House, an inpatient substance abuse rehabilitation center for adults. She also traveled throughout Australia and New Zealand. Michelle completed a yearlong internship at Touchstone Hall, an inpatient adolescent substance abuse rehabilitation center for boys in Rockleigh, New Jersey and also interned at Bergen Family Center in Englewood, New Jersey, and Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels. Michelle will be attending New York University's Advanced Standing program this fall, studying clinical social work with a concentration in substance abuse.
