John Santiago
OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTING STUDENT
Ours second Outstanding Student in Accounting is John Santiago.
John is an excellent student with aspirations to pursue a career as a Certified Public
Accountant. As part of the capstone course that every business student must take, John
competed, as part of a small team, in a very realistic, semester-long simulation in which
students manage all aspects of a virtual company. The competition involves teams of
business school students from Colleges and Universities around the world. With John’s
help, his team managed to finish first, among the 4,593 teams from 287 Colleges and
Universities competing around the globe.
For the past two summers, John has served as an intern with Wentworth Property
Management in Newark, NJ. His ability to conduct business in both English and Spanish
and his training in financial analysis made him a very valuable asset to the company.
