Timely Warning Cancelled
All,
The Western Carolina University Police Department is cancelling the Timely Warning issued last night
regarding a person attempting to enter a dorm room by identifying themselves as a police officer. The person
has been identified and the circumstances of the incident have been reviewed. At this time we believe the
incident was the result of a misunderstood potential prank and a lack of judgment. We are satisfied that there is
no ongoing threat to the campus regarding this incident.
