Attached you will find in PDF format Budget and Staffing reports for your organizations as of
March 2016 budget period.
Interlocation Transfer of Funds (ILTFs) Deadline May 13th
An ILTF is a transfer between campuses or UCOP that results in a net increase or decrease in the
level of budgeted resources for the campuses involved. The deadline for processing ILTF’s for
the 2015/16 fiscal year is this Friday, May 13th. All ILTF forms must be submitted to General
Accounting for approval and received by CBO no later than 5:00p.m.or sent via email in PDF.
This will be the last opportunity to transfer money for this fiscal year.
Upcoming Wage Implementations
Human Resources has informed us of two wage implementations with effective July 1st which
will impact our fiscal close. Our office will run auto costing for 99’s starting the week June 27th
and SX will start June 29th and finish by the 30th.
SOFI - PPS Distribution Lines
The SOFI team has consulted with Academic Personnel, Payroll, and central Human Resources,
and the planned replacement of PPS and Staffing distribution lines for SOFI is scheduled for
June 1.
Important - Balance Your Staffing List by May close
Our office encourages every department to balance their Staffing List on a monthly basis,
especially now that we are transitioning to SOFI and the upcoming auto costing. I would highly
suggest to every VC and department to have all their Staffing balanced no later than May
because of the new PPS SOFI distribution line implementation on June 1st.

Budget and Staffing Cutoff Dates
The cutoff for permanent OLTF’s affecting the March reporting cycle is Tuesday, May 3, 2016.
The cutoff for current year OLTF’s and Provision updates is Friday, May 6, 2016. Please refer
to the FYE 2015/16 Budget and Staffing Cutoff Schedule available on the CBO website at:
