Signature Assessment Descriptions
CURR 450: Multicultural Education
Candidates are assessed on four products: 1) a personal reflection on how their cultural lens
relates to foundations of multicultural education; 2) A plan/sketch for a culturally relevant
classroom and annotated bibliography for multicultural literature, activities and resources; 3) a
literature-based learning center that can be implemented in the classroom; 4) a reflection that
examines the relevancy (e.g., community profile) of and response to (e.g.,
student/teacher/community feedback) the Learning Center.
