ADABC is an affiliation of more than 50 agencies providing immigrant settlement and
multicultural services in communities throughout British Columbia. We create networking
opportunities, disseminate information, provide professional development, and build
organizational capacities for our members. ADABC also organizes the annual Health Event.
Duties/Responsibilities:
 Develop with the coordinator a work plan and time-line
 Assist Health Event Coordinator with sponsorship of the event
 Communication with the Committee through monthly info-sharing reports
 Liaise with stakeholders participating in the Fair on a regular basis
 Organize activities leading up to the Health Event including promotion and advertising
 Assist media consultant to promote the event in the local media, including calendars of
events, television coverage before and during the event, radio coverage, press releases,
web-site updates, articles of interest in the print media
Requirements/Qualifications:
 Excellent presentation, public relations, oral, written, & interpersonal skills
 Knowledge of the immigrant/settlement, anti-racism & human rights not-for-profit
sector an asset
 Experience working with multicultural communities
 Experience in marketing communications, research & data collection
 Customer service experience
 Well developed planning, organizing, and administrative skills
 Computer literacy- MS Word, MS Publisher, Power Point, HTML
