Description of proposed program change:
The proposed change will lower the total number of degree hours required for the Bachelor of
Music in Music Education from 91-93 hours to 89-91 hours.
The Watson School of Ed dropped PSY 223 from their requirements and we added 1 hour of
small (chamber) ensemble because of NASM accreditation requirements. These two changes are
the reason for the hour changes. Additionally, any way we can lower the number of total hours
in this degree is a bonus for our students.
