Opportunities: Pearl Girls Academy group facilitators for the public schools and community
agencies. Mon-Fri. after 5pm. Sat. 10am-2pm Training provided for volunteers. Group
facilitators are required to complete a 1 day training session (8hrs) or a 2 day training (4hrs/day).
Volunteers will be working with girls age 5-12.

Opportunities: mentor, program presenter, research, general assistant. Volunteers are needed on
an ongoing basis to serve as mentors and tutors to teen mothers and pregnant teens, encouraging
school attendance and proper parenting. A commitment of one group meeting per month at the
center and weekly contact with teen (either by phone or visit) is requested. Volunteers are also
needed to present one-time educational programs (i.e. job skills, self-esteem, assertiveness
training, etc.), help prepare meals for group meetings, to assist with data research, etc. Hours
