Whereas part‐time faculty teach up to 12 hours per semester, 2. Whereas part‐time faculty are ineligible for any teaching awards or other formal recognition, The Faculty Welfare Committee recommends that: 1. All departments within CAS and the professional schools at UNCW endorse the important roles part‐time faculty play in their respective units via a statement of support, and that 2. All departments within CAS and the professional schools at UNCW provide part‐time faculty with dedicated office space whenever possible.
