The Women’s Center of Tarrant County
Present the ‘Play it Safe’ program to PK-12 students enrolled in school throughout Tarrant
County. Maintain contact with local Child Services organizations regarding statements
made by students receiving presentation. Disseminate information regarding the Women’s
Center resources to the community.

After completing training, matched with a client(s) enrolled in hospice, located in
Arlington. Routinely visit client and provide companionship and support services, and
evaluate the health status and document in a report.

New Connections Parent Educator
Center for Addictions and Recovery
Present evidence- based nurturing parent curriculum individually in client homes or focus
groups to parents referred to New Connections through Child Protective Services. The
Nurturing Parenting Programs are a family-centered initiative designed to build nurturing
parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglecting parenting and child-rearing
practices. Document and report client progress accordingly.

the Indiana Department of Child Services. Provided life skills, job skills, parenting skills,
and budgeting skills training to parents. Population included low-income families at highrisk of termination of parental rights.

Executed engagement activities within the Youth Underground Drop In program with a
special focus on supporting the safety, education, and life skills of children ages 5-18
participating in the program. Ensured implementation of activities for youth consistent
with the agency's youth development model.

Lafayette Crisis Center
After completing forty hours of training, responsible for providing services for all persons
requesting by telephonic or face to face assistance. Brokered requests for service for
clients experiencing mental, financial, and physical distress. Provided suicide assessment,
intervention, and prevention to clients. Advocated for survivors of rape, through
assessment and referral. Provided referral information for available community resources.
Population included children, adolescents, and adults from diverse economic and ethnic
backgrounds. Completed over 400 hours of service.
