Our mission is to advance the profession of public administration by advocating for the UNCW MPA program, supporting student growth, providing input on the strategic direction of the program, and connecting government and nonprofit professionals and organizations to the program and university.

Three new students placed in policy, planning and

HR departments .

Paid positions, 19 hours per week, one year with option to renew for second year.

Advisory Board Mentoring

Initiative

A second prong in our recruitment strategy!

Match selected students with appropriate member of Advisory Board.

Program details will be developed with guidance of mentors; will use models such as Cameron

Executive Network.

Expectations of Mentors*

Guide the student to become a leader in his/her chosen career and build a personal network as a resource to reach those goals.

Meet with assigned students on a regular basis.

Guide your student in developing an effective job search plan, resume, and interview skills.

Need your help in starting an annual $1,000 merit scholarship to help attract high quality new students.

100% participation of our Advisory Board each year is our goal; lays the groundwork for further external fundraising!
