Student Life
Abroad!
There are many reasons for students to study abroad at Galen University:
here are just a few! Belize’s sub-tropical location offers students the
opportunity to go canoeing, hiking, and bird watching while exploring its
mountains, rivers, caves, and ancient Mayan ruins. You’ll be amazed by
the incredible biodiversity and beautiful landscape of Belize! It is located
just two hours from the famous barrier reef for snorkeling, sailing,
and SCUBA diving. A multi-lingual, multi-ethnic community, Belize is
filled with an international faculty and student body and is focused on
sustainable development.
Cost
This program is available as a Study Abroad:

Surrounding Areas
Belize, often called “Mother Nature’s best kept secret”, is a tropical
paradise nestled in the heart of Central America. It is the only English
speaking country in Central America with a stable democracy of
approximately 300,000 people. There are mountains, caves, inland
tropical forests, pristine rivers, with many ancient archeological sites.
Along Belize’s Caribbean coastline lies the second longest barrier reef in
the world with seven protected are that are designated as UNESCO World
Heritage sites. The biodiversity within the borders makes the entire
country a living classroom. The rich culture of Belize reflects the diversity
of the people who call Belize home: Maya, Creole, Garifuna, Mestizo, East
Indian, Asian, Mennonite, North American and European.
