Some of the Challenges Facing TMA
THE NEED FOR CENTRAL FORECASTING OFFICE
The Lack of TMA owned Central Forecasting Office (CFO) and Headquarter
Building
OTHER METEOROLOGICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Insufficient Observation Networks, which hinders the capacity of the Agency to
fully describe mesoscale weather phenomena
HUMAN CAPACITY BUILDING
Due to rapid technological advancement the need for human capacity building in
various area of operation including for engineers and technician,
Agrometeorology, Hydrometeorology is urgent and is increasing
DATA PROCESSING AND SERVICES DELIVERY TO THE PUBLIC
Digitization and archiving of non-real data
The need for enhanced public awareness on the application of weather and
climate in socio-economic activities in the context of Climate Change
