n An essay entitled “Why I Want to Teach,” which addresses the student’s motivation for entering the teaching
profession and the contributions he hopes to make to the profession and to the community as a teacher.
n An essay entitled “How the Call Me MISTER Program Will Benefit Me as a Student”
wA signed statement from a counselor or school official certifying that the student is from an under-served,
under-privileged or economically disadvantaged background or area.
