Double Kudos to…the Suburban Law Enforcement
Academy (SLEA), which recently received a series of 11

Enforcement Training and Standards Board. The training
sessions will cover timely topics such as Cyber Terrorism,
Tactical Response to Terrorist Incidents, Incident Response to
Terrorist Bombing, and Basic Medical Response During
Disasters/Terrorist Acts. In addition, 13 police officers
representing 11 agencies recently completed a 200-hour
Management and Leadership Development Program offered
through SLEA at the College. The five-week program covers
more than 20 different subjects designed to prepare law
enforcement supervisors and managers for assignments of
increasing responsibility and authority. The MLDP is certified
by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards
Board, the state agency responsible for law enforcement
training in Illinois. Click here for an article on the MLDP

an award by Colonel Rich Fox for her efforts in organizing
this program.
And More Kudos…to Jean Kartje, Vice President of
Academic Affairs, who was recently recognized for her service
as President of the Illinois Community College Chief Academic

continue her service on the CAO Board as past president
during 2013-2014.
And More Kudos to…English Professor and accomplished
