CLUE is a collaborative effort between the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the University of Wisconsin-Cooperative Extension. January 27 — Ordinance Development, Administration, and Enforcement. Learn how to develop, update, administer and enforce zoning, subdivision, and other common land use ordinances. March 5 — Avoiding Legal Challenges through Proper Decision-Making. Learn how to locate and consistently apply standards and procedures found in your comprehensive plan, land use ordinances, and state laws. April 2 — Not in My Backyard: Dealing with Tough Land Use Issues. Learn techniques and limitations on regulating cell towers, billboards, wind turbines, junk vehicles, mining operations, and adult uses. The presenter for the workshops is Rebecca Roberts. Rebecca is a land use specialist who provides training workshops for local planning and zoning officials throughout the state. She is author of the Plan Commission Handbook and co-author of the Zoning Board Handbook. Workshop cost: The cost of each workshop is $15 which includes printed workshop materials and refreshments.
