(beginning, middle, end) Tell me how you retell a story. Include some sequence words ~ First, next, then, finally, etc. What are you writing about right now in writing workshop? How can you make your ending exciting? Tell me about your apple experiment. Did the apple change throughout the week? How? Who is John Chapman? What do you know about him? What number is 2 more than 23? 2 less than 23? 10 more than 23? 10 less than 23? How can you tell if a number is even or odd? Explain your thinking. Who is Mr. Phillips? What did he talk about when he visited your class? (courage) FYI: Word Study Your child is bringing home the results of the Kindergarten High Frequency word test. If your child still has some words to practice, please see the activities on the attached letter. It explains activities to help that we will be doing here at school too. If your child does not have words to practice on the list, please start looking at the first grade words I sent home also. I will be looking that your child spells the mastered words correctly in his/her daily writing.
