For the week of April 25 - April 29
Our MAP test will be this Monday, May 2nd. If your child has personal headphones that they
would feel more comfortable with they are free to bring them. Put this date on your
calendar: Friday, May 27th at 10am. We will be sharing our memory books with our parents
in the classroom on that morning.

We are working with
This past week we
worked on our number
sense skills. We
continued to practice
with fact families and
related facts. We played
a game with 2 cards and
1 dice that we had to
make an + or - sentence,
we also played triple
compare, subtraction
dominos, and Lucky Six.
Poetry this week. We
have learned about the
terms: tone, mood, and
theme. We have shared
several poems and have
many poetry books
available to the students
to read if it is interesting
to them. Each student is
being asked to write one
poem about themselves,
we will crate a “wordle.”
Science
This past week we
continued our STEM
projects. We read Rosie
Revere Engineer. We spent 4
days designing, building,
rethinking & rebuilding and
the testing our marble
mazes. The students had to
persevere, create,
collaborate, think flexibly,
communicate, use their
imagination, and be
respectful to their group
members.
