It gives students an organized curriculum for studying audio production as opposed to trying to learn it on their own. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 20 percent job growth in this field through 2020. To qualify, students must have earned at least an AAS in Radiation Therapy. Types of Jobs: Proton radiation therapist “Protons have the ability to target a solid, non-metastasized tumor without damaging the surrounding tissue. This new treatment can effectively control tumors, and patients experience fewer side effects. Over the next decade, we will see a huge need for skilled proton therapists, both locally and nationally.” —Jeff Papp, Professor and Director, Radiation Therapy Perioperative Nursing Certificate (Surgical Technology) The Perioperative Nursing certificate is designed to provide the registered nurse with the basic fundamentals of perioperative nursing. If the graduate passes the NCLEX-PN, he or she will apply for licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in Illinois. Once the graduate is licensed, he or she will be qualified to practice in any Illinois health care setting as an LPN. This course addresses differences in competencies between the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) Basic Medical Technician Corpsman Program and those of a practical nursing program as delineated in the Illinois Nurse Practice Act.
