PRINCIPAL REPORT
Dance-a-Thon Update
• This Friday is our 4th annual.
• Packets are due Thursday.
• Students are encouraged to wear white.
• Light situation is good and adjustable for our Glow-in-the-dark theme.
• Will be fun and different.
• Positive response to promotional video.
• Trying to get message out what the funds will be used for.
• Teachers are happy that they will be getting a menu of items to choice from.
• Looking at different ways to enhance the classroom.
Creativity summit
• Kim Miller - Chief Academic Officer Dublin Schools asked Mr. Ehrsam to host at Pinney.
• About 40 Dublin teachers will tour our spaces.
• Mr. Ehrsam will discuss his vision, thinking and how he supports “We Grow Thinkers.”
Celebration of Arts
• Task Party was well received and everyone seemed to have fun.
• It was great to see kid’s creativity in action.
• The event encouraged a culture of enrichment.
PRESIDENT REPORT
School Survey Review
• We had 25 percent response rate.
• Some questions had more responses than other.
• See attachment.
• Comments on Leeds Farm will be shared with chair for next year.
• When we have a speaker or a set topic for PTO meetings we tend to draw bigger crowds.
Communication
• Eli Pinney is on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
• Dublin City Schools and Eli Pinney’s websites also share school information including calendars.
Dublin Difference Showcase
• March 1st @ 6:30pm at Jerome HS.
• Some of our Pinney students will be there.
• All 20 buildings will be there.
Upcoming PERC Events
• April 13th from 6:30 - 8:00 at the Dublin Rec Center: “Strategies for Parents to Identify and
Address Signs of Depression, Anxiety, and Stress in Children with Special Needs.”
• District Dodgeball Tournament - April 1st at Scioto
• Movie Night – TBD April/May?
• Time With Teacher Raffle: April 5th - April 7th
Bus Driver Appreciation: April 14th We do a breakfast for them.
Moms and Muffins: May 11th and 12th from 8:00AM - 9:00AM
Pinney Walk for the Cure - May 13th
5th Grade Celebration: June 1st from 9:30AM - 10:30AM
• 5th grade gift will honor first responders.
• Super Games: June 3rd

• Voting will take place on April 27th at 9:30AM following the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast

Review of Grants
Last year our budget was $15,000.
This year was $10,000.
Remaining balance was $1,630.
First grade team requested $400 for Osmo gaming system for the iPads. PTO board approved.
• Second grade team asked $610 for Hokki stools.
• Lara motioned to approved seconded by Michelle LoParo. Motion approved.

• 2016-2017 Supply Sale Update orders due by April 22.
• Mr. Ehrsam spoke about the importance of keeping price consistent across the district.
• School Store Update – Looking for more volunteers.
