25.06.01.S1 SAGO Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program Rule

Supplements System Policy 25.06 and System Regulation 25.06.01
1. GENERAL
The purpose of this rule is to provide information and guidance to employees in order to
comply with Texas statutes and System Policies and Regulations and other approved
documents of The Texas A&M University System.
2. REQUIREMENTS
2.1
SAGO will comply with System Policy 25.06, System Regulation 25.06.01 and the
System HUB Performance Improvement Plan (HPIP) and with all applicable laws,
regulations and executive orders related to HUBs. SAGO will strive to achieve the
objectives established by the HPIP.
2.2
The HPIP is located online at: http://hub.tamus.edu/Documents/HPIP.pdf. The HPIP
requires that component rules and procedures include the elements listed below. The

SAGO will provide HUBs equal access and opportunities in:
(a)
contract and subcontract awards for design and construction projects; and
(b)
purchase of supplies, materials, equipment and services, including those
relating to the issuance of bonds.
Contracts and purchases will be in accordance with the guidelines established by
the Texas Building and Procurement Commission (TBPC) and System Regulation
25.99.02.
