As National Allies, they are endorsing Vision 2020’s mission and agreeing to participate in the Campaign for Equality, a decade-long campaign to make equality a national priority through shared leadership among women and men. The new allies are the Center for Women in Law at the University of Texas School of Law; Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University; Rock the Vote; and Sewall-Belmont House and Museum. These organizations join 41 other Vision 2020 National Allies. For a full listing, visit: http://drexel.edu/vision2020/who/partners/. The national allies’ combined membership is nearly 20 million. “The national allies play a pivotal role in raising awareness about Vision 2020’s goal of equality by the year 2020,” said Vision 2020 Founder and Co-Chair Lynn Yeakel. “The allies we announce today, as with all of our allies, have goals aligned with those of Vision 2020, and we look forward to a decade of collaboration to advance women in leadership throughout American life.” Vision 2020 was launched in fall 2010 when women leaders—Vision 2020 Delegates—from all 50 states gathered at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia for discussions about women's leadership and influence in the areas of Arts & Culture; Business, Law & Finance; Communications & Media; Education; Politics & Government; Health; Philanthropy, Faith & Volunteerism; and Science, Technology & Engineering. The delegates, representing all of these topic areas in leadership positions, are now working on a variety of equality initiatives in their home states.
