Drexel University College of Medicine Hahnemann University Hospital PODIATRIC SURGICAL RESIDENCY PROGRAM RADIOLOGY ROTATION Goals: This rotation permits the resident to actively participate with the attendings, fellows, and residents in the radiology department in such a way as to maximize their educational experience in medical imaging. Competencies: The resident will be able to demonstrate the following competencies: 1. Evaluate foot/ankle radiographs, techniques and interpretations 2. Perform and interpret stress ankle x-rays and arthrograms 3. Evaluate different nuclear medicine modalities such as technetium, gallium, HMPAO, indium, etc. Understand indications and contraindications 4. Understand techniques and interpretations of CT and MRI scans of the lower extremity 5. Recognize chest film pathology 6. Recognize skeletal pathologies including benign and malignant bone tumors and fractures
