Rationale 
At present only sociology students who have completed the undergraduate core coursework can register for
the course. The course draws from an inter-disciplinary pool of graduate students that includes, but extends
beyond sociology. With the proposed modification, students will need consent of the instructor to register for
the course. Students from all academic disciplines can be admitted through consent of the instructor under
the proposed modification.
