UM General Education Requirements for an AA
Student Name
The Associate of Arts (AA) degree is a general transfer degree.
Completion of an AA indicates that the student has completed
a course of study equivalent to the first two years of a
Bachelor’s degree. Associate of Arts degrees do not officially
include a major or minor course of study, however students’
course selection, in consultation with an advisor, is guided by
their planned baccalaureate major. For more information on
earning an AA while attending the Bitterroot College visit the
Missoula College – University of Montana Course Catalog at
www.umt.edu/catalog/cat/cot/appartsci.html.
