Purpose of Scholarship
The Dr. Robert J. Turek, Jr Endowed Scholarship will financially assist students pursuing a Bachelor or Master Degree program
at Lourdes University. The amount of scholarships will vary based on funds available.
Eligibility Criteria
 Undergraduate or Graduate degree seeking student
 In any year and any degree program at Lourdes
 Fulltime student in good standing
 Demonstrated Leadership
 Must have fully completed the 2016-17 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) process at Lourdes.
How to apply (Incomplete/Late applications will not be considered)
Complete and return this application and attach a typed short essay of no more than 500 words which provides demonstration
of your Leadership skills and experiences at school, work, or in the community.
Essays will be judged on grammar, spelling, presentation, as well as, appropriate content.
Notification
Recipient(s) of the scholarship are notified via her/his Lourdes Email through the Financial Aid Award Letter process which is
based on the completion of the 2016-17 FAFSA process at Lourdes. Therefore, notification can vary depending on the date of
the recipient’s completion of this process.
Responsibility of Recipient(s)
Recipient will receive a Financial Aid Award Letter and a request to complete the “Thank You Letter” process. The “Thank You
Letter” should be professional and addressed to “To Whom it May Concern.” Be sure to mention the name of the scholarship
within the body of the letter. The letter must be received at the Financial Aid Office before the award can be paid.
