Tree Crew Leader / Arborist
David J. Frank Landscape Contracting, Inc., an established landscape design/build
company, is currently seeking a tree crew leader / arborist. Position will require
performing all tasks customarily associated with professional arboriculture including tree
climbing, tree pruning, ornamental and shade tree pruning, cabling and bracing,
equipment operation, and all other maintenance and necessary remedial care. Crew
leader will have significant contact with clients and supervise one to two people.
Pre-requisite Credentials and Responsibilities include:
 Exceptional arboricultural skills
 Commitment to excellent customer service
 CDL driver’s license or ability to obtain
 Minimum of 3 years climbing experience with rope and saddle
 Candidates must have experience overseeing other employees
 ISA Certification or ability to obtain
 Degree in related field (commensurate field experience will be considered)
 Reviews scope of work and safety issues with the Production Manager prior
to each work assignment
 Participates in and conducts all job site safety briefings with crew members
 Performs administrative functions pertaining to crew management
 Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction
 Understands financial aspects of each job assignment
 Supervises all crew members during the performance of all assigned work
