Internships through the White House’s Council on Environmental Quality CEQ Internship Program The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) coordinates Federal environmental efforts and works closely with agencies and other White House offices in the development of environmental policies and initiatives. The Council's Chair, Nancy Sutley, serves as the principal environmental policy adviser to the President. CEQ is also responsible for ensuring that Federal agencies operate in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The challenge of harmonizing our economic, environmental and social aspirations has put NEPA and CEQ at the forefront of our Nation's efforts to protect the environment. Deadlines for applications are March 1 (Summer), July 1 (Fall), and November 1 (Spring). Please contact internships@ceq.eop.gov for additional information.
