Hines and seconded by K. Bandy that the minutes be approved. It was opposed by V. Herder with the observation that M. Beasley and P. Bench’s names were omitted from Members Present. The minutes were approved on the condition that the appropriate changes are made. II. Course Outline Changes a. ILS 0056—Conflict Resolution Level 3 (0) b. ILS 0057—Independent Life Level 2 (0) − R. Polski was present to discuss the changes made to ILS 0056 & ILS 0057. It was suggested by S. Eveland that the Course Scope, Content and Student learning Outcomes not be underlined or bolded, as it is not newly added, but rather a format change. It was approved by V. Herder and seconded by S. Eveland to approve the changes to the above courses (reviewed and approved previously by department faculty), effective? The motion carried. c. ESL 0610—English as a Second Language: Listening and Speaking I (3) − It was motioned by S. Eveland, and seconded by D. Berry to approve changes to the above course (reviewed and approved previously by department faculty), effective? The motion carried. d. ECEF 1584—Field Experience for Infant and Toddler Care and Development (2) − It was suggested by M. Beasley that 9, 10, and 11 of the Prerequisite Knowledge and Skills be removed from the COR since it is a transferable course. It was motioned by M. Hines and seconded by S. Swenson to approve the changes to the above courses, (reviewed and approved previously by department faculty), effective? The motion carried. III. a. b. c. d. Extensive Lab Designation ART 1600—Basic Design (3) ART 1610—Advanced Design (3) ART 1620—Drawing and Composition (3) ART 1640—Painting (3 units per semester; limit 12 units) − R. Miranda observed there was not a separate Lab Content section broken down by units, as required for extensive lab. The courses are tabled for November’s Curriculum meeting for the CORs to be revised. IV. New Courses o None V. Program Changes a. A.A. Mathematic—Removal of MATH 2140 Advanced Engineering Math from Program − It was motioned by D. Bogle and seconded by V. Herder to approve the changes to the above course, (reviewed and approved previously by department faculty), effective? The motion carried. b. A.S. Welding Technology & Certificates—Removal of WELD 1050 Structural Code Welding and IES 1102 Passport Safety from the program − It was motioned by B. McMurray and seconded by K. Carlson to approve the changes to the above course, (reviewed and approved previously by department faculty), effective? The motion carried. VI. VII. Other a. COR Template Draft is available online − Informational item was presented informing the committee that a template for a COR has been published online for reference. b.
