Prashant Nagpal Prashant Nagpal is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder and the coFounder, co-CSO and member of the Board of PRAAN Biosciences Inc. Prashant earned his Ph.D. from University of Minnesota and completed his post-doctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He leads an interdisciplinary research group with emphasis on design of nanomaterials and processes for applications in energy and biology. He has published over 30 manuscripts in several high profile journals, filed several patents based on his work and spun off a startup company PRAAN Biosciences Inc. from his lab currently based in Boulder, given over 30 invited talks, and has received numerous awards and honors including the National Science Foundation’s CAREER award, W.M. Keck Foundation Research Award, and New Inventor of the Year by University of Colorado. Prashant also serves as the Topical Chair for the American Institute of Chemical Engineer’s Annual Meeting symposia series on “Nanomaterials in Energy” since 2011, and has also organized/chaired several conference symposiums on Nanomaterials including Materials Research Society and American Vacuum Society Annual Meetings.
