Calling All Educators & Interested Public! Ask Us: NASA Webcast Communicating Climate Change: Mind the Gap Educator Professional Development Webcast and Q&A Thursday, January 15 — 3:30-4:45 PM FREE — UW-Stevens Point — LRC 107 The Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education (WCEE) is excited to be hosting a live webcast and Q&A with climate experts from NASA! The WCEE was identified as a host organization and we will be connected live with experts from NASA Langley Research Center. Communicating Climate Change: Mind the Gap Although 97% of active climate scientists agree that the earth is warming due to human activities, some polls have found that only 44% of Americans share this view. As an educator, you are likely to encounter people who have received information that conflicts with the accepted climate science, perhaps from sources that they trust. This session will help you better understand American's perceptions of climate change and provide tips for better communicating climate science. This event is free, but space is limited, so please pre-register at our website or by phone (contact info below)! www.uwsp.edu/wcee (715) 346-4163
